چکیده
Objective: With the latest advances and innovations in field of spine surgery, new generation surgeons has been increasingly preferring endoscopic lumbar interbody fusion technique to treat pathology degenerative disease. The aim this study was elucidate clinical radiologic outcomes biportal with a long polyetheretherketone (PEEK) cage. Methods: This included 40 patients treated by PEEK cage between January 2020 December 2021. evaluation conducted using improvements visual analogue scale (VAS) Oswestry Disability Index (ODI) scores. Radiological were evaluated changes disc height segmental lordosis. Fusion assessed based on computed tomography scans Bridewell criteria. Surgical parameters (e.g., operative duration, blood loss complications) noted. Results: Of study, 13 male 27 female. Most had significant improvement as indicated VAS ODI scores (p < 0.05). Disc height, lordosis, lordosis showed mean surgical duration 180 minutes, 80 mL. All grade 1 or 2 fusion. Conclusion: Biportal is an excellent option for achieving good when indicated. A long-term follow-up would be needed fully clarify effectiveness procedure.

Clinical and Radiological Outcomes of a New Cage for Direct Lateral Lumbar Interbody Fusion
OBJECTIVE In Korea, direct lateral interbody fusion (DLIF) was started since 2011, using standard cage (6° lordotic angle, 18mm width). Recently, a new wider cage with higher lordotic angle (12°, 22mm) was introduced. The aim of our study is to compare the clinical and radiologic outcomes of the two cage types. METHODS We selected patients underwent DLIF, 125 cases used standard cages (standa...
متن کاملApplying the Mini-Open Anterolateral Lumbar Interbody Fusion with Self-Anchored Stand-Alone Polyetheretherketone Cage in Lumbar Revision Surgery
The author retrospectively studied twenty-two patients who underwent revision lumbar surgeries using ALLIF with a self-anchored stand-alone polyetheretherketone (PEEK) cage. The operation time, blood loss, and perioperative complications were evaluated. Oswestry disability index (ODI) scores and visual analog scale (VAS) scores of leg and back pain were analyzed preoperatively and at each time ...
متن کاملComparison of Transforaminal Lumbar Interbody Fusion with Direct Lumbar Interbody Fusion: Clinical and Radiological Results
OBJECTIVE The use of direct lumbar interbody fusion (DLIF) has gradually increased; however, no studies have directly compared DLIF and transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (TLIF). We compared DLIF and TLIF on the basis of clinical and radiological outcomes. METHODS A retrospective review was performed on the medical records and radiographs of 98 and 81 patients who underwent TLIF and DLIF ...
متن کاملDirect Lateral Lumbar Interbody Fusion: Clinical and Radiological Outcomes
OBJECTIVE According to the recent development of minimally invasive spinal surgery, direct lumbar interbody fusion (DLIF) was introduced as an effective option to treat lumbar degenerative diseases. However, comprehensive results of DLIF have not been reported in Korea yet. The object of this study is to summarize radiological and clinical outcomes of our DLIF experience. METHODS We performed...
متن کاملOutcome of Anterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion: A Retrospective Study of Clinical and Radiologic Parameters.
OBJECTIVE This study critically evaluates the long-term results of standalone anterior lumbar interbody fusion (ALIF), without use of rhBMP-2, as a therapeutic option for symptomatic patients with degenerative disc disease (DDD). Furthermore, this study intends to identify predictive parameters for anterior lumbar interbody fusion outcome. METHODS A retrospective cohort study with additional ...
